“The Royal Photographic Society invites student, amateur and professional photographers worldwide to submit their work to the RPS International 157 Competition,” says the RPS. “The Gold, Silver, Bronze and Under 30 award winners will receive cash prizes, and all selected prints will be included in the touring print exhibition, which will open in London in July.”[bjp_ad_slot]
First launched in 1854, the competition welcomes photographers working digitally, using film or experimenting with more traditional processes.
The deadline for entry is 18 March, with the winners selected by a panel of jurors that include Paul Seawright, professor of photography at the University of Ulster; Anne McNeill, director of Impressions Gallery; photographer Jordi Ruiz Cirera; Marc Aspland, chief sports photographer for The Times; and Tim Rudman, fine art photographer.
