Ones to Watch 2026

British Journal of Photography is delighted to announce the 2026 Ones to Watch issue, featuring 15 international artists who epitomise the talent and creativity within lens-based practice today.

This special magazine is the culmination of an exhaustive nomination process in which photography experts including Alessia Glaviano, Gem Fletcher and Bruno Ceschel submitted hundreds of worthy image-makers. The 15 selected are each profiled and have their work published in this issue, the 15th iteration of Ones to Watch.

BJP Full Access Members and Print & Digital Subscribers will receive their copy from 2nd June, and all members and subscribers will be able to read via our online library and apps from the same date.

There’s still time to join them – become a member or subscriber today for instant digital access to over five years of Ones to Watch and to secure your copy of the 2026 special issue.

“Working with fine art, photojournalism, sculpture and drawing, this year’s Ones to Watch show all the possibilities of expanded photography while speaking with distinctive voices. BJP is proud to present a new wave of image-makers, using cutting-edge work to engage with urgent and overlooked issues.”

– Diane Smyth, Editor at British Journal of Photography
