“You I Everything Else is the chronicle of a correspondence, articulating post-digital romance,” writes Linn Phyllis Seeger, in a short statement that accompanies her latest photobook, published by Skinnerboox. Seeger describes herself as a “Cloud-based media artist”, meaning her practice is rooted in digital photography and screen-based media. You I Everything Else gathers screenshots taken over the course of a relationship, combining fragments of internet searches, song lyrics, error codes and emojis. Printed on glossy pages, which seem to emulate the experience of looking at a screen, it presents fragments of the digital footprints left behind in a modern romance.
