Recent graduate work on show at The Photographers’ Gallery

Now in its seventh year, FreshFaced+WildEyed is the annual showcase of graduate photography at The Photographers’ Gallery.

The 22 photographers, whose work is on show until 20 July, were chosen by a jury, which includes: David Drake, director of Ffotogallery in Wales; Sheyi Bankale, editor and founder of Next Level; Sophy Rickett, photographer, and Brett Rogers, director of The Photographers’ Gallery.

All of the photographers have graduated from BA and MA visual arts courses across the UK in the past year, and use photography and/or digital media within their practice.

Selected photographers include Alice Myers whose work tackles misconceptions and issues surrounding immigrants at French and UK borders, Nikolas Ventourakis, who focuses on the effects of the economic crisis in Greece, James Duncan Clark whose work incorporates photographs and found ephemera from the streets of east London to document the changes taking place around London’s Olympic Park, and Geiste Marija Kincinaityte (who was one of BJP’s graduates last year).
