Canon and Nikon square-off with new launches at Photography Show 2016

Camera manufacturers including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Ricoh and Sony, have used the event to launch new cameras and equipment, offering visitors to the show the opportunity to see the newest technology in photography for the first time in the UK.
The show has also hosted lectures from some of the UK, and indeed the world’s, most renowned photographers, including Bruce Gilden, David Bailey, Nick Danziger, and Chris Packham.
Canon have had a particularly strong showing at the event, using The Photography Show to launch their anticipated new DSLR, the Canon EOS 1D-X Mark II, as well as the new EOS 1300D and EOS 80D, and the PowerShot G7 X Mark II.

Nikon, showcasing a 360 degree interactive stand, will provide British camera consumers with their first opportunity to test the Nikon D5 and D500, the high-powered DSLRs which launched in Las Vegas at the beginning of this year.
Nikon are also showcasing their DX and FX D-SLR models, products from the Nikon 1 range and selected NIKKOR lenses. Nikon’s School Stage will allow the Japanese company’s UK ‘Ambassadors’ to give talks on their working process with the cameras.

Ricoh Imaging will have their recently launched Pentax K-1, plus the Pentax K-3 II Silver Edition and GR II Silver Edition on-stand, as the company celebrates its 80th anniversary.
The show will also showcase the new Fujifilm X-Pro2 and the Fujifilm X70, the Olympus PEN F and Sony’s new CSC, the A6300.
The Panasonic TZ80, the ultimate travel companion TZ100 and the 100400 lens will be available to purchase onsite or for pre-order on the Panasonic stand.
