The Portrait of Humanity Vol. 6 Winners and Shortlist

British Journal of Photography is thrilled to reveal the winners and shortlist of Portrait of Humanity Vol. 6.

After revealing the 199 shortlisted images, British Journal of Photography is excited to announce the 30 winning images and three series winners of Portrait of Humanity Vol. 6, presenting a collection of photographs from all corners of the world that highlight the ubiquitous experiences uniting us during times of division.

From young South African boxers to skateboarders in Afghanistan, the winning photographs unravel tales of love, community and friendship, but also displacement, hardship and grief. Portrait of Humanity is a call for unity, but it is also an urgent reminder of the shared fight against humanity’s biggest challenges: to protect the environment, choice over our own bodies, and the right to be and love whomever we want.

The Portrait of Humanity Vol. 6 book, showcasing all 199 shortlisted works, is available for pre-order now via Bluecoat Press.

The 30 single image winners and the three winning bodies of work will be exhibited in a global touring exhibition from Fotofestiwal Łódź in Poland, to Four Corners in London, and finally at Indian Photography Festival
